A Perfect Partnership: Madcap Rambler Photography x Annandale Art & Textile Center

Since Fall 2023, I’ve had the true pleasure of partnering with the Annandale Art & Textile Center (AATC)—a space that not only uplifts artists like myself but also serves a beautiful and meaningful mission through its Heart of the Lakes Weavers program. This partnership has been a perfect fit from the start, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of the creative and compassionate community they’ve cultivated.

Located in downtown Annandale, AATC is a nonprofit that offers inclusive employment opportunities through weaving. The Heart of the Lakes Weavers is a vocational weaving program for adults with disabilities and diverse learning styles. Here, art and purpose are woven together—literally and figuratively. The center fosters creativity, skill-building, and connection, offering “jobs with dignity” to every artisan who steps behind a loom. That mission deeply resonates with me, and it’s one of the reasons I’m so proud to be a part of what they do.

When I look to partner with organizations, alignment matters. I want my work to be part of something that values authenticity, creativity, and community—and AATC exemplifies all of that and more. From day one, I’ve felt welcomed not just as a vendor but as a part of the greater Annandale community.

At AATC's gallery, you’ll find a rotating collection of my prints, greeting cards, notebooks, and magnets. My greeting cards and notebooks have emerged as consistent best sellers, and I love updating my displays with the changing seasons. This allows me to bring in fresh perspectives and keep the collection in tune with the natural world—a big part of what Madcap Rambler Photography is all about.

One of my favorite parts of the partnership is the ongoing collaboration with the gallery manager. Together, we thoughtfully curate which prints to feature, ensuring that they not only reflect seasonal beauty but also harmonize with the color themes of the woven textiles on display. That kind of visual and artistic dialogue between mediums makes the space feel intentional and vibrant.

In addition to the Heart of the Lakes Weavers and my own work, the shop is home to many other wonderfully talented local vendors. From handmade pottery and fiber art to jewelry, candles, and home goods, every piece in the store tells a story and showcases the unique creativity of our community. It’s truly a gem worth exploring—and supporting.

This partnership is more than just a place to sell my work—it’s a creative relationship rooted in shared values. It’s a place where art connects people and where everyone, regardless of ability, is celebrated for what they bring to the table.

I’m deeply grateful to be part of the Annandale Art & Textile Center, and I look forward to continuing this journey for many years to come.

Let’s keep rambling.
